Alien: Rogue Incursion Bursts Free of VR With Evolved Edition

Alien: Rogue Incursion is escaping its VR confines and heading to flat-screen platforms with a new version titled the Evolved Edition, launching September 30, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Developed by Survios, the Evolved Edition reimagines last year’s tense VR survival horror experience with enhancements tailored for console and PC players. That means improved visuals, a target of 60fps performance, full 3D audio, and smarter, more adaptive xenomorph AI designed to keep players constantly on edge.

Two editions are already up for preorder: a Standard Edition priced at $29.99, and a Digital Deluxe Edition at $39.99, which includes cosmetic skins and a digital art book for series fans looking for extras.

The move marks a significant shift for Alien: Rogue Incursion, originally positioned as a VR-only title. By broadening its reach to consoles and PC, Survios is opening the door to a much larger audience — while still retaining the survival horror tension and predator-prey dynamics that made the original stand out.

With xenomorphs more cunning than ever and flat-screen players now in their sights, the Alien franchise could be finding new life beyond VR. September 30 is shaping up to be a date worth circling on the calendar for sci-fi horror fans. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments.

I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
