Frostpunk 2 Console Release Set For Summer
City-building survival sim Frostpunk 2 is set for a summer release on consoles confirms 11 bit studios after a delay.
Are you ready to brave the frozen wastes of Frostpunk once more?
After a few months of unplanned PC exclusivity, we finally have a release window for the bleakest survival city-builder Frostpunk 2, which is targeting a Summer 2025 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, the developers over at 11 bit studios announced on X.
While we don’t have a set date just yet, it’ll likely release after the major game update to the game on May 8th, which is set to “adjust the City’s management, paying homage to the order established by the first New Londoners.” After the update, we will finally get the console release of Frostpunk 2, which will hopefully include future updates including the next set out in 11 bit studios’ roadmap for 2025, the Spectrum DLC coming in Autumn. The roadmap also includes the Aurora DLC for an unspecified 2025 release and an untitled DLC 3 for 2026.
11 bit studios goes on to thank all fans of the series before signing off. It shouldn’t be too long before we have an update on the console launch.
