Rockstar’s Latest GTA 6 News Is A Delay Announcement
Despite previous assurances that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still on-track for this year, Rockstar Games has announced the game will be delayed into 2026.
Rockstar Games are synonymous with high-quality releases
Cold on the heels of any relevant Grand Theft Auto 6 news, Rockstar has just issued an update on the long-anticipated next entry in the juggernaut money-making crime epic, and it’s most likely what you’d expect after over 500 days of no actual information on the game: it’s been delayed out of this year.
Launching instead on May 26th, 2026, Rockstar is promising that Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch with a quality that players deserve. But this isn’t the first time Rockstar has delayed a game, and it might not be the last time that the next GTA gets delayed. Their most recent slate of releases tends to launch in the latter half of the year, but hopefully this will be the actual release date.
It’s not what fans of the long-running series wanted to hear, and it most likely won’t have made shareholders happy, but Rockstar has asked for players’ patience as they work to bring a game that will “exceed your expectations.” This news comes a few short months after reconfirming Grand Theft Auto 6 would be launching later this year, despite any additional marketing to back up said claims.

I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
