To celebrate the launch of the Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2 Enhanced Edition, Good Old Games is adding the original Neverwinter Nights 2 to its preservation program and offering a discount of the remaster to owners of the original.
Offering a 15% “loyalty discount” to owners of the original Neverwinter Nights 2 on GOG that stacks with the 10% pre-order discount, players can snag Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter Nights 2 Enhanced Edition for around €22.50, or your regional equivalent, which is a nice little discount for an upgrade to a game you own.
GOG’s preservation program is designed to keep games running and playable on Windows systems, both current and future versions. Using their own developers, they're committed to ensuring future generations can play old classics that may otherwise fall to the wayside. Not only that, but they're using their resources to squash any bugs or offer quality of life improvements the original developers may not have been able to implement, with the original Neverwinter Nights 2 recently receiving its first GOG update since 2015.
