007 First Light Gets 30 Minutes Of Gameplay During State Of Play
007 First Light is stepping from the shadows into the spotlight with over 30 minutes of gameplay, revealed during PlayStation’s State of Play on September 3.
This gameplay deep dive will showcase Bond’s very first mission as a newly minted MI6 recruit. Expect heart-pounding tension with a mix of high-speed car chases, stealth sequences on foot, and cinematic shootouts.
Following the action-packed preview, IO Interactive will sit down to peel back the curtain and share insights into the game’s espionage mechanics and design philosophy.
Previously unveiled in June’s State of Play, the announcement trailer introduced players to a young and reckless James Bond—just 26 years old—embarking on his journey from Royal Navy airman to fully-fledged 00 agent. The upcoming mission promises to emphasize choice, whether through cunning stealth or explosive confrontation.
Developed by IO Interactive, the studio behind the Hitman series, the title aims to redefine the Bond game with dynamic stealth, gadget-based gameplay, and a cinematic touch that leverages the studio’s pedigree in crafting engaging, open-ended experiences.
The livestream will be available on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels at 11 a.m. PT / 7 p.m. BST / 8 p.m. CEST. Will you be tuning in? Let us know down in the comments.
I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
