An Elder Scrolls VI Auction Lets One Fan Design An NPC
It’s been a long time since we’ve had an update on The Elder Scrolls VI, but fear not: Bethesda has broken their silence on their next game in development to bring us this news.
This is it. This is all we know about The Elder Scrolls VI. The title, and it’s set somewhere with mountains and trees.
News! Yes, that’s right: News about The Elder Scrolls VI. Though sadly it cannot be classified as “breaking news.” But at least it is for a good cause. After months with no updates regarding Bethesda Game Studios’ next project, the studio has announced that they are running a The Elder Scrolls VI NPC Auction to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
As you can probably guess, the lucky winner of said auction will win the opportunity to create a unique NPC to be included in The Elder Scrolls VI. The offer not only helps one fan leave their own permanent mark on the legendary RPG series, but it will also raise money for a great cause. We have no other information on just how big of a role the player-created NPC would take on, but hopefully, Bethesda would give the lucky winner’s NPC a side quest or two, to match the donations.
Bethesda provides additional information on their website about working together with Make-A-Wish over the years and how they want to bring the community on board for such a cause, which gave them the idea to run this auction. This auction is only available to players in North America, however. Fans outside of that region are out of luck.
What do you think? Would you like to see more developers do charity-focused auctions to let players add to their games? Sound off in the comments!
I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
