Forza Horizon 5 Races Onto PlayStation

Playground Games have just announced that the latest release in their popular arcade racing series, Forza Horizon 5 will be launching on PlayStation 5 this spring.

PlayStation players will get the fully updated Forza Horizon 5 sometime this spring.

Turbocharge your engines, folks. Forza Horizon 5 will be racing onto PlayStation 5 in spring this year. Playground Games have announced that their latest title in the beloved Xbox exclusive series will be launching on PS5 with all the bells and whistles (or rims and spoilers) that Xbox fans are currently enjoying. While we don’t have a set release date just yet, it won’t be too long before PlayStation players will get their hands on this stellar racing game. Unlike previous games that have come to PlayStation from the Xbox consoles, such as Grounded and Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 5 is the first title coming from a long-running Xbox franchise, dating as far back as 2012 for the Horizon spinoffs, and even further back to 2005 for the main Forza franchise.

On a blog post over on their website, Playground Games said “The Horizon Festival welcomes a new community of players. With nearly 900 cars available in the game, over 40 thematic game updates, two expansions, and so much more content, our team is excited to announce that this spring, PlayStation 5 players will be able to explore Mexico’s beautiful roads and experience the Horizon Festival for the first time as we are officially launching Forza Horizon 5 on PS5.”

Sadly we did not get a new trailer to coincide with this announcement, which is a shame as it would be an excellent way for PlayStation players to get a look at the sheer level of content to expect when Forza Horizon 5 launches, so I have included the game’s original launch trailer for a look at how the game started out. Playground also stated in their blog post that the PS5 version is being developed by Panic Button in conjunction with both Playground Games and Forza series creators Turn 10 Studios and as mentioned previously, will feature full content parity, content packs, and expansions with the Xbox and PC releases with the blog post stating the developers are excited to see what creations the PS5 community will add to the expanding community.

To fully celebrate the release of Forza Horizon 5 on PS5, the developers are also currently working on another free content update that will release on all platforms known as Horizon Realms. Focusing on the opportunity for players to explore a curated selection of some of the overall community’s favourite previous releases of the Evolving Worlds, the developers will announce more updates on Realms soon through their social channels. With enhanced cross-play, Forza Horizon 5 can be played with friends regardless of their system. We’ll get more news on the PS5 release of Forza Horizon 5 and hopefully it’s release date soon!

I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
