Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest Confirmed For This Summer

Another year, another games showcase to replace the void E3 left in recent years. While many publishers do their own digital showcases, it’s good to see Geoff Keighley keeping the in-person summer events alive with his Summer Game Fest.

Keeping with the summer vibe, Summer Game Fest has always been a colourful affair.

Surprising pretty much no-one, we have now got confirmation that Geoff Keighley’s “Kei-3” Summer Game Fest will be returning this summer. Though it shouldn’t be a surprise, it is still nice to get official confirmation as gamers expect a big showcase each summer to showcase what else is coming up this year and in the near future. The summer months are generally pretty dry when it comes to video game releases, so that’s where the showcases pick up the slack and generate interest in new announcements.

In their official announcement, they announced “On Friday, June 6th, Summer Game Fest returns to show you what’s next in video games from more than 40 leading game publishers. Live from YouTube Theater in LA. Followed by SGF: Play Days and a new thought-leader event in Los Angeles. All happening June 6-9.”

Meanwhile over on the official website, they’re touting their famous world premieres, special guests, and a preview about what’s next in the world of video games. There’s no doubt that now Summer Game Fest is officially announced that we’ll soon get follow-up announcements for other showcases, most notably Xbox, Ubisoft, and the PC Gaming Show. What are you looking forward to be announced this summer? Sound off below!

I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
