Hades 2 Confirmed For Switch 2… And Not Much Else
Hades 2, the highly rated indie gem from Supergiant Games is confirmed to be launching on Nintendo Switch 2 as a timed console exclusive.
Fast-paced gameplay and killer art style? It can only be a Hades game
Are you a fan of Hades and are looking forward to its long-awaited sequel? Are you a Nintendo or PC player? Good! Are you a PS5 or Xbox Series gamer? Well, if so, you’re currently out of luck as developer Supergiant Games has confirmed at the end of a Nintendo trailer that Hades 2 will be a timed console exclusive for the Nintendo family of consoles.
For some gamers, it’s not all doom and gloom as a large number of today’s gaming crowd has at least more than one device to play on. But for those with only one system, this comes as a bit of a blow. There’s no indicator when the timed exclusivity will end and Hades 2 will makes its way to the other consoles to join the original Hades.
Supergiant confirmed both Switch consoles would be getting the timed exclusive, so at the very least they aren’t leaving the original in the dust. Timed exclusives can be anywhere from 90 days to a year, some can be shorter or longer. It all depends on the whims of the developers and any deals they may have struck. For the time being, the other two consoles will be missing out on the console launch for Hades 2.
What do you think of this? Are you able to pick it up regardless or are you left wanting? Sound off in the comments.
I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
