Marvel Rivals Season 3 Trailer Spotlights Blade And Phoenix
A new trailer for the upcoming third season of Marvel Rivals has just been released, giving us a look at the next playable characters coming to the free to play third-person hero shooter.
The latest action-packed trailer for Marvel Rivals Season 3, dubbed The Abyss Awakens, shows off the new looks for Phoenix and Blade, with the former taking a bit more of the limelight in the trailer. They're facing off against Hela, who was imbued with new powers and abilities after an encounter with Knull.
Season 3: The Abyss Awakens is right around the corner, too, with a confirmed release date of July 11th. As with any major live service update, expect a few hours of maintenance beforehand, which will give you time to work on your backlog for a bit.
We don't have any information if Knull will be a playable character sometime down the line, but to space out the season a bit, it's possible we will get Phoenix first, as she seems to be the main focus of the in-season story lore, with Blade likely joining during the mid-season refresh.
A teaser over on the official Marvel Rivals social, captioned “Klyntar is about to ignite”, hinted at what could be a new map, Klyntar, coming to the game during the season. The trailer then ends with a look at upcoming skins for Jeff the Land Shark, Magik, Hela, and Wolverine based on the Symbiotes and Phoenix Force.
