Microsoft Partners With Meta For VR Headset

Microsoft has pulled back the curtain on an Xbox-themed Meta Quest 3S VR headset, launching today.

Everyone gets a VR headset!

It seems Microsoft has more partnerships in the works to bring Xbox-themed hardware to their customers, as they have just officially announced the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition. This limited edition version of the Quest 3S is available as of today, so if you're a fan of Xbox-inspired hardware or Meta’s take on VR, then this might be up your alley.

Announced on an Xbox Wire post, they start off by talking Xbox and Meta’s ongoing partnership with the tech giant and how they have been bringing their cloud services, Xbox Cloud Gaming, to Meta Quest headsets and “deliver incredible mixed reality experiences but is also crafted for Xbox fans.”

Dropping today with a $399.99 price tag, it comes replete with a few bits and pieces to get you started. Other than the custom Meta Quest 3S in “Xbox Carbon Black and Velocity Green” with 128GB storage, the bundle comes with matching Touch Plus controllers and a limited edition Xbox Wireless Controller and an “Elite Strap”. Rounding out the package is 3 months of Meta Horizon+ and 3 Months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

How do you feel about Microsoft’s Xbox-branded partnerships with other tech companies to deliver new hardware to the masses? Will you be picking any of them up? Sound off in the comments.

I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
