Battlefield 6 Multiplayer Trailer Is Laden With Extra Explosions

The Battlefield 6 multiplayer trailer went live, giving us the first look at the FPS giant's return to a modern setting, and bringing with it the game's release date.

EA and Battlefield Studios has just pulled back the veil on the multiplayer for Battlefield 6, showing off the addictive squad-based gameplay, intense combat scenarios, and devastating destruction the series is well-known for. And we don't have to wait too long to get our hands on it, as an open beta is due in just over a week, with the release of Battlefield 6 in October.

Ahead of the October 10th launch, Battlefield 6 is getting two open beta weekends this month, the first of which starts on August 9th. However if you're signed up for Battlefield Labs, you can play from August 7th. The second beta will kick off from August 14th to August 17th, giving players a good opportunity to jump in and try everything that the Battlefield 6 demo has to offer. Pre-orders for Battlefield 6 have already gone live, with two options available for players: the Standard Edition and the Phantom Edition, which comes with cosmetics for vehicles and soldiers, two weapon packages, and the game's first Battle Pass and an additional 25 tier skips.

After the multiplayer trailer went live, the official Battlefield social media accounts shared additional information on what to expect when Battlefield 6 launches in October.

First and foremost, the class system makes its return, with the series' staple classes returning: Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer. Fan-favourite map Operation Firestorm is set to return, being one of the nine multiplayer maps available at launch. If the standard maps aren't what quite what you're expecting, players can also build their own or try out others in the Battlefield 6 Portal.

For features players will experience in every match, the vehicles have been fine-tuned, offering more seats for squads to hop into, or even the ability to hitch a ride on certain vehicles. New combat and movement mechanics are also introduced in Battlefield 6: drag & revive, crouch sprint, lean & peek, weapon mounting, and combat rolls.

What do you think of the Battlefield 6 trailer? Will you be jumping into the open beta next weekend? Let us know in the comments.

I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
