Battlefield 6 Reveal Set For July 24th
We don't have too long to wait for more official news on EA’s Battlefield 6, as a timer on the official Battlefield website is counting down to a July 24th reveal.
A countdown that has appeared on the official Battlefield website is ticking down the hours until the official Battlefield 6 reveal, as named in the timer. What exactly the reveal entails is anyone's guess, but the website does encourage players to “tune in for the ultimate all-out warfare experience on July 24th,” so we might be getting more than a simple two minute trailer reveal.
Announced back in 2021(if you can really call EA confirming they would be working on more Battlefield games as an announcement), Battlefield 6 has been a little light on details, but we did get confirmation it was quite far along in development back in February of this year with the announcement of Battlefield Labs, a collaboration project where fans of the franchise can participate in Battlefield 6’s development.
Since then, we've had a number of brief gameplay snippets leaked that showcase a number of features that will be part of Battlefield 6, with the return to a modern setting being the first thing to catch the eyes of fans. Also showcased in the leaked gameplay, we got to see the series' staple destructible environments, various quality of life improvements, and the beginning of a battle royale match, which I feel most fans would say they could do without.
Battlefield 6 has been slated for a release during this fiscal year, which ends before March 2026, but EA’s CEO Andy Wilson would be comfortable changing the launch to avoid competing with heavy hitters from other companies. We don't have too long left to wait as the time continues to count down to 4pm GMT+1, July 24th.
Do you think Battlefield 6 will draw back fans to the series? Let us know in the comments.
I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
