Journey To The Savage Planet Sequel Gets A Release Date

Sleeper hit Journey to the Savage Planet sequel gets its release date. Revenge of the Savage Planet touches down planet side this May.

Are you brave enough to return to the Savage Planet when it wants Revenge?

If you’ve never played Journey to the Savage Planet, don’t worry! You’re not alone. Not me, though. I’ve played it. In fact, stop reading this article now, download the game, and play it to completion. I’ll wait. Done? Good.

Journey to the Savage Planet is a fantastic little game that’s bursting with colourful and deadly fauna and the right kind of tongue-in-cheek corporate humour. Your main goal once your aforementioned journey to this planet is completed is to start cataloging the numerous alien flora and fauna you come across for your corporate overlords and see if the planet can be deemed safe for human colonization.

Revenge of the Savage Planet is set to launch on May 8th on all platforms minus the Nintendo Switch (at least for now) and will do what all good sequels do: give you more of what you love and add in some new mechanics, environments, gear, and a storyline. This time, the greedy corporation behind your initial launch has made your playable character redundant and left you stranded in deep space with next to nothing in terms of supplies.

Players will have to explore multiple different planets and overcome numerous challenges to collect new gear, record data on plants and creatures, and stumble upon all kinds of secrets in a desperate bid to get revenge on your former employer and make the long journey home to Earth. All this can be done solo or in co-op, which just adds to the amount of fun you can have.

Are you looking forward to Revenge of the Savage Planet? Is this the first you’ve heard of the series? Let us know down in the comments!

I created this website as I feel the state of the games industry and games reporting as a whole has gotten overly negative and full of clickbait. While I understand both of these are a great way to generate engagement, it’s a detriment to those gamers (like myself) that are just trying to enjoy games and not have to worry about the negativity of the current state of the gaming industry. I want a space where gamers can come for unbiased news that doesn’t rely on clickbait or rumours with a dash of humour and have the opportunity to share their passion for games.
